Titus Davis Named Player of the Week

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF football team extended its winning streak to 23 games with a dominating 38-13 victory over Cincinnati this weekend. On Monday, Titus Davis was named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance.

It’s the second weekly honor from the league for Davis, who totaled five tackles with 4.0 tackles-for-loss and a career high three sacks in the victory. The senior defensive end also forced a fumble, as the UCF defense allowed just seven points to the Bearcats.

On the season, Davis has totaled 50 tackles, 15.5 tackles-for-loss and six sacks. He has broken up one pass, recorded four quarterback hurries, forced two fumbles and recovered one in 10 games for the Knights.

For the third straight week McKenzie Milton was named to The American’s Weekly Honor Roll. The UCF signal caller threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, while running for another in the 25-point win over then No. 19 Cincinnati.

Davis, Milton and the No. 8/9 Knights will close out the regular season this Friday on the road. The War On I-4 against South Florida is set for a 4:15 p.m. kickoff with coverage on ESPN and FM 96.9 The Game.

The Knights have clinched a spot in the American Athletic Conference Championship for the second year in a row. UCF will play the winner of next week’s game between Houston and Memphis. The title game is scheduled for Dec. 1 at 3:30 p.m. at Spectrum Stadium.
