Game One Ends in a 4-4 Tie

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF baseball team opened its annual Black & Gold World Series on Thursday afternoon at John Euliano Park. Playing through soggy conditions, the teams could not break a late deadlock, as the game finished in a 4-4 tie.

The big highlight of the game came from freshman Ben McCabe. The rookie catcher launched a home run and a triple to bring in a trio of runs for the gold team.

The two sides will be back at it on Friday afternoon. First pitch is slated for 3:20 p.m. Grant Schuermann will get the ball for the Team Black, and Jordan Spicer will take the mound for Team Gold.
