ATLANTA, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF women’s tennis team wrapped up its weekend at the 2018 ITA Southeast Regional Championships at Georgia Tech’s Ken Byers Tennis Complex. The weekend ended on a high note, as four Knights notched four wins on Sunday.

The newcomer doubles team of Sara Culbertson and Valentina Martin played a pair of matches in the consolation draw. They opened the day with an 8-5 win over Daneila Ramirez and Andreaea Stanescu from Georgia State. Later, the tandem rolled Georgia State’s other pairing of Damira Muminovic and Eva Chivu in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.

The doubles partnership of Ksenia Kuznetsova and Domenika Turkovic wrapped up their weekend with an 8-2 win over Celine Schepers and Marie Mottet of Mercer.

Turkovic was the lone Knight to play a singles match on Sunday. She needed three sets to beat Mottet, 6-2, 4-6, 10-5.

The Knights will head out to the FGCU Invite next weekend in Fort Myers.
