ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The list of participants at the 2018 NCAA East Regional Track and Field Championships was announced on Thursday. Four members of the UCF track and field team qualified for the May 24-26 preliminary round in Tampa, Fla.

For the fourth consecutive year, Rosie Chamberlain will represent the Black and Gold in the 800-meter run. A season-best time of 2:05.46 at the Florida Relays on March 29 qualified for the preliminary round at USF.

Natosha Jordan cleared a collegiate-best 5-9.25/1.76m on three separate occasions in the high jump, including a pair of times at the 2018 American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship. The sophomore set a heptathlon high jump meet record with the height.

For the third straight year, UCF will be represented by multiple Knights in the hammer throw. Gabby Durant used a personal best distance at the War Eagle Invitational to become the first Knight in program history to surpass the 200-foot mark in the event, landing at 200-6/61.12m. Jhane' Carter will join Durant in the hammer, as her personal best mark of 189-10/5786m at the Tom Jones Memorial, qualified her for the East Regional.

Carter will also compete in the shot put, using a season-best distance of 50-8.75/15.46m at The American Championship to solidify her position in Tampa. She will make her third consecutive NCAA regional appearance in the event.

The top 12 individuals in each event, along with the top 12 relay teams, will earn a spot at the NCAA Championships, which runs from June 6-9 in Eugene, Ore.
