ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team returns to action at the 2018 Pepsi Florida Relays. The meet, which is hosted by the University of Florida, begins Thursday at the Percy Beard Track in Gainesville.
The SEC Network + will broadcast live coverage during parts of Friday and Saturday's collegiate competition. One of the nation's premier track and field events, the three-day meet features six ranked women's programs and 100 collegiate squads. UCF be represented at its 12th consecutive Pepsi Florida Relays with 16 members of the Black and Gold set to compete in Gainesville.
On Thursday, three members of the UCF squad will race in the 200-meter dash at 2 p.m. Friday action begins at noon with Jhane' Carter and Gabby Durant in the hammer throw. The running events will start at 2:15 p.m. with Rosie Chamberlain, Crystal Tejeda and Beth Williams in the 800-meter and conclude with Kalleigh Forrester in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 9:20 p.m.
Carter begins Saturday action at 1 p.m. in the shot put. The women's 4x800 relay wraps up UCF's weekend of competition at 4:15 p.m.
