ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF baseball team wraps up its fall camp this weekend with its annual Black and Gold Series at the UCF Baseball Complex. The Knights will play three intrasquad games – Thursday at 2:30 p.m., Friday at 3 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m.
Head coach Greg Lovelady and his staff divided up their players into two squads for what promises to be an entertaining weekend of baseball.
Admission is free to all the games. Fans are encouraged to use the right-field entrance, due to construction on the expansion to John Euliano Park.
The Black and Gold Series will feature some excellent pitching matchups. On Thursday, 2017 Freshman All-American Joe Sheridan will go up against Baseball America's BA500 No. 144 Jordan Spicer. Newcomer JJ Montgomery will battle Chris Williams on Friday. Saturday's contest will feature the return of Cre Finfrock and Thad Ward.
