ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – UCF had four players – Damara Begin, Alea White, Linnea Goodman and Willow Kalinen – named as 2016-17 NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes. The Knights were also recently recognized as an Easton/NFCA Academic Team on Oct. 2.
The quartet posted a 3.5 or better grade-point average during the 2016-17 academic year. Goodman and Kalinen graduated with their degrees in May, while White and Begin enter their sophomore campaigns with the Knights.
There were 1,842 student-athletes recognized throughout Division I softball.
The Knights continue their fall slate on Friday with a 4 p.m. start against Florida Southwestern.
