Offense
- Taj McGowan scored on a 1-yard TD run early in the second quarter. It was his first TD of the season and the fifth of his career.
- McGowan score the Knights' second TD of the game on a 3-yard plunge. It marks his first career multi-touchdown game.
- Michael Colubiale's 32-yard reception in the second quarter was his career-long.
- Tre'Quan Smith carried the ball for a 4-yard gain in the second quarter. It was his first career rushing attempt.
- McKenzie Milton tossed a 6-yard TD pass to Jordan Akins in the third quarter. It was Akins' second touchdown reception of the season.
- Milton's 55-yard run in the third quarter was the fourth play of 50 yards or more this season. Milton has had a hand in each of them, three passing and his long run vs. Maryland today.
Defense
- Maryland entered the game averaging 508 yards and 57 points per game. The Knights held the Terrapins to just 86 yards and three points in the first half.
- Maryland failed on its first eight third-down conversion attempts against the UCF defense. The Terps' first third-down conversion came with less than four minutes left in the third period.
- UCF also held on a key fourth-down in the first half.
- UCF went more than four quarters without allowing a third-down conversion. The most recent third-down conversion for an opponent came with less than six minutes left in the third quarter of the FIU game.
- Kyle Gibson's second-quarter interception was the first of his career.
- Back-to-back sacks in the third quarter for Tony Guerad and Jamiyus Pittman were the first of the season for both defensive linemen.
