ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF men's tennis team officially ushered in the 2017-18 season with its first practice of the fall.

"It's always a tough period when the guys come back to school," Director of Tennis John Roddick said. "They want to get going, but we have to wait through that eight-hour period. We got through that, and the guys are excited and ready to work hard."

The Knights posted a 16-7 record in their first season under Roddick, earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, the program's first appearance since 2005. Korey Lovett made history as the first UCF player to qualify for the NCAA Men's Tennis Singles Tournament.

Joining with the returners is a star-studded signing class featuring four of the top 60 players in the ITF World Junior Rankings.
