ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) – All three seniors off of last year's UCF men's basketball team are set to play professionally in 2017-18, as Nick Banyard will start his pro career with Aomori Watts in Aormori, Japan.

Tank Efianayi signed with BIPA Odessa in Ukraine earlier this month, while Matt Williams signed a deal with the Miami Heat after playing the NBA Summer League.

Banyard played in all 36 games during his only season with the Knights, starting 22 to help lead UCF to one of its best seasons in program history.  The 6-foot-8 forward averaged 6.2 points and was third on the team with 6.0 rebounds per game as a senior.

Highlighted by a game-winning three-pointer at UMass, Banyard was integral to the Knights' cause all season long. The Flower Mound, Texas native earned American Athletic Conference Honor Roll accolades after averaging 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds in back-to-back wins over Tulsa and ECU.

Banyard's new team, Aomori Watts, plays in Japan's Division 2 B-League. Aomori went 29-31 in the East Division last season, led by former Idaho center Kyle Barone, who averaged over 17 points per game.
