ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Nine members of the UCF rowing team were named 2017 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday.
Senior Kristen Taylor was recognized for the second straight year, while classmates Rachael Klunder and Jazmin Sepulveda garnered the accolade for the first time.
Junior Ivana Krkljus was joined by sophomores Aly Derksen, Grace Lindberg, Ashley Martin, Edvina Nesukaityte and Rachel Rabinowitz as first-time honorees.
The nine honorees mark the most in a single season for UCF, and the most since the 2008 campaign when eight Knights earned the distinction.
Each rower had a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher through the fall semester for the current competition year.
