ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – With its home slate complete, UCF hits the road for five games to complete the regular season, starting with a doubleheader on Wednesday at Bethune-Cookman. First pitch at Sunnyland Park is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Knights (25-21) finished their home slate with a 2-1 series victory against UConn to improve to 9-6 in American Athletic Conference action. Sophomore Cassady Brewer blasted two homers, including a walk-off grand slam, to send the Knights four seniors – Manami Calixto, Linnea Goodman, Willow Kalinen and Brittany Solis – off with a victory in their final home game.
 
Kalinen leads the charge at the plate with a .376 batting average and four triples. A team-best 53 hits and 12 doubles have been contributed by Goodman. Four homers and 27 RBI have been tallied by Brewer, while junior Courtney Rotton has accumulated 21 RBI.
 
The Knights rank 22nd second nationally in stolen bases with 1.85 per game. Junior Megan Greenwell paces the squad by going 27-for-28 in stolen base attempts.
 
Freshman Alea White has notched 16 victories along with 82 strikeouts in 174.1 innings of work. Two victories against the Huskies were recorded by Calixto, who moved to 4-3 on the campaign. Freshmen Kamryn Toney and Damara Begin have also logged key innings.
 
Bethune-Cookman
Bethune-Cookman heads into its last doubleheader of the season with a 21-29 overall and 11-4 MEAC record. The Wildcats have posted notable wins over Florida A&M, North Florida, George Mason, Western Carolina and Cornell.
 
Ryan Jackson paces the Wildcats' offense with a .414 batting average, eight doubles, 13 homers and 43 RBI. A total of seven triples has been tallied by Mariah Davis, while Kaitlin Alamprese has contributed 37 RBI.
 
The pitching staff is paced by Sabrina Anguiano, who has 11 victories and 57 strikeouts. Seven wins and 37 strikeouts have been contributed by Marian Estrada.
 
Series History
The Knights hold a 20-5 all-time mark against the Wildcats. UCF has posted a 9-3 record in contests played in Daytona. The Black and Gold have notched victories in their last three meetings and have taken 12 of the past 13 matchups. This is the first time that squads have faced each other since the 2014 campaign.
