Video Recap YouTube

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After setting a program record with five hits in the series finale at Memphis, UCF senior Linnea Goodman was tabbed as the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday by the league office.

Goodman went 9-for-14 in four games, drove in three runs and scored three times. She notched a base knock in each contest and recorded two multi-hit games.

The Long Beach, Calif., native went 5-for-5 with one double and three RBI to help UCF win the decisive series finale at Memphis. Five hits are the most by a Knight dating back to the start of the program in 2002. Goodman had twice tied the previous mark of four hits, which had been accomplished 17 times.

The senior was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate and drew a walk in the series opener against the Tigers.

This is the first weekly honor for Goodman and the second this season for a UCF player. Junior Courtney Rotton earned the acknowledgement following the Easton Bama Bash on Feb. 27.
