GAINESVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF track and field team continued its impressive weekend as the Knights wrapped up the 2017 Pepsi Florida Relays on Saturday.
The 4x400 relay team posted the fifth-fastest time in the East Region, and the eighth-fastest time the nation. The squad posted a season-best mark of 3:38.17 to finish fifth in the event.
Jhane' Carter finished second in the shot put with a season-best throw. Her third attempt landed at 50-3.25/15.32m.
The Knights added a pair of top five finishes to its resume this weekend, crossing the line second in the 4x800 relay, and taking third in the distance medley relay. A top 12 performance was turned in by the 4x200 relay squad, giving the Black and Gold top 12 performances in all four relay events on Saturday.
UCF returns to action on April 6 at the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz.
