ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—The UCF men's tennis team continues its busy week with two more tough home matches at the USTA National Campus. The Knights host No. 48 Tulsa on Friday at 6 p.m., and No. 29 South Alabama on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Knights are coming off a big 4-2 victory over Penn State. On Wednesday night, UCF trailed 2-0 after dropping the doubles point and an early singles match. The Black and Gold were had dropped the first set on five of the six courts. UCF fought back as No. 44 Korey Lovett added a 6-3, 6-4 victory on the top court. The Knights forced third sets on courts two, four, five and six. Harrison Richmond tied the match at 2-2 with a win on court two. Danny Kerznerman put UCF up 3-2. On the sixth court, Kalman Boyd won the second set in a tiebreaker and then clinched the match with a 6-4 third-set victory.

The Golden Hurricane enters the match with a 6-7 record. Tulsa is coming off a 6-1 victory against Oral Roberts. Majed Kilani and Or Ram-Harel are 9-3 on the No. 2 doubles court. Tulsa leads the all-time series 8-1. The lone victory for the Knights took place during the 1978 season.

South Alabama, who is 16-2 overall, enter the match coming off a sweep of USC Upstate. Loic Cloes leads the Jaguars with a 15-1 dual match singles record, and is on a 14-match winning streak. In doubles, Tuki Jacobs and Olivier Gringas sit with a 4-0 record on the second doubles court.  UCF trails 0-3 in the all-time series record. The Knights fell in a tough, 4-3 battle during the 2015 season.
