ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – Six points in the War on I-4 rivalry series is on the line as the No. 39 UCF men's tennis team hosts No. 26 USF on Saturday evening at the USTA National Campus at 6 p.m.

UCF (11-5) earned its highest ranking in program history when the Oracle/ ITA Team Rankings were released on Tuesday. Later that day, junior Danny Kerznerman was named the American Athletic Conference men's tennis player of the week after helping the Knights upend No. 29 Florida State, 4-1, on Sunday.

The Bulls (11-6) take on No. 29 Tulane on Thursday afternoon before heading to Orlando.  USF has posted wins against a multitude of opponents including No. 16 Mississippi State. South Florida's Sasha Gozun is ranked No. 63 in singles, and is paired with Alberto Barroso-Campos at No. 50 in doubles.

UCF and USF have met 38 times since the original match in 1978. This is the first meeting in Orlando since 2013.

The match will serve as senior day for Reece Acree, Chris Barrus, Mariano Porter, Harrison Richmond and Arjun Watane.

The Knights hold a 30-15 advantage over the Bulls in the rivalry series. The Black and Gold swept USF in men's basketball, women's basketball and doubled its lead with an American Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field team title.
