Oracle/ITA Team Rankings

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF men's tennis team rose to the No. 39 spot in the Oracle/ITA Team Rankings on Tuesday, which is the highest in UCF history.

"It is great to see the program rising, but our team knows that we have work to do to make sure we secure an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament," head coach John Roddick said. "We understand that we need to keep competing hard and continue to work on the right things to make that happen."

Last weekend, the Knights upended Florida State on Sunday, 4-1. Junior Danny Kerznerman (15-1) led UCF with a 6-3, 6-1 victory against No. 125 Guy Iradukunda at the No. 2 singles spot, as well as clinching the doubles point with junior Korey Lovett.

This year, UCF has knocked off three top-30 opponents, No. 23 Texas Tech in the season opener on Jan. 14, No. 29 South Alabama on March 12 and No. 29 Florida State on March 26.

Six points are on the line in the War On I4 rivalry on Saturday evening at the USTA National Campus. The Knights have a chance to take down another top-30 opponent in No. 26 South Florida at 6 p.m.
