ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – After rolling the No. 2 Gators 11-2 last night, the No. 26 UCF Baseball team is back in action this weekend, playing host to Stony Brook for a three-game series at the UCF Baseball Complex.

Friday night's game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and for Saturday, fans can click here to get a ticket to both the UCF softball game and the UCF baseball game for just $10.  Softball vs FGCU is slated for 5pm, and Baseball vs Stony Brook at 6:30pm. Sunday's series finale against the Seawolves is set for 1 p.m. Click here or call 407-UCF-1000 for seats.

Stony Brook enters the series 1-5 in 2017 while the Knights improved to 8-1 Wednesday. The Black and Gold lead the all-time series 4-2 with the last meeting dating back to the 2012 Coral Gables Regional, where the Seawolves knocked off the then 18th-ranked Knights to advance to the Baton Rouge Super Regional and eventually the College World Series.

The Knights have posted 74 runs on 101 hits and stolen 19-21 bases this year. Sophomore Kyle Marsh leads the team in extra-base hits with seven doubles, one triple, and one home run while seniors Eli Putnam and Luke Hamblin are riding nine-game hitting streaks to open the season.

On the mound, the Black and Gold have combined for a team ERA of 1.91 with 91 strikeouts to just 11 walks. In his first start against Florida Wednesday night, freshman Joe Sheridan picked up his second win of the season going five innings and giving up just one run on four hits with four strikeouts. Senior Robby Howell (2-0) will get the nod Friday night with senior Juan Pimentel (2-0) expected to take the mound Saturday and redshirt junior Jason Bahr (0-0) throwing on Sunday.

Sophomore Bryce Tucker has dominated out of the bullpen, going 2-2 in save opportunities. Tucker has faced just 13 hitters through four innings of work and has notched nine strikeouts. He struck out the side in saves against Siena and North Florida and fanned two of the three Gators he faced in Wednesday's upset of No. 2 Florida.

UCF looks to continue its momentum through the weekend before it hosts No. 3 Florida State for two games Mar. 7-8.
