ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF men's tennis head coach John Roddick has completed his coaching staff with the addition of volunteer coach, René Vidal.

"We are very excited about the addition of Coach Vidal to our staff," Roddick said. "He brings a tremendous amount of experience and success with him. He is going to be a great asset to our program and the team is excited to begin working with him."

The New York City native is a FIU alumnus who spent six years as owner and operator of René Vidal Companies, a business specializing in leadership training for elite athletes, teams and organizations.

"It's an honor to work with John, Phil, and the UCF men's tennis program," said Vidal. "We're looking forward to a great season."

Vidal graduated with a bachelor's degree in public administration in 1992. Vidal also brings NCAA coaching experience from SIU, Boise State, Mississippi State and Colgate.

René and his wife Lisette have three sons – Angelo, Manny and Alex.
