NICEVILLE, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—Four of UCF men's tennis team members successfully opened play at the Bluewater Bay Pro Circuit Championships in Niceville, Fla., on Friday.
Kalman Boyd started the group off with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Karthik Lachagari. The sophomore takes on Tom Dynkei in the second round of qualifying. Danny Kerznerman defeated Jordan Nickerson 6-3, 6-0 and will face Chi-Shan Jao in the next round. Enrique Paya fell in the opening round, dropping a 6-1, 6-2 decision to Rodney Carey.
Eighth seeded Korey Lovett had an opening round bye, but will take on Matthew Bomparola tomorrow.
