ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The mission is in sight for the UCF women's basketball team.
"Mission In Sight our theme for this year," head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson said. "Looking at our student-athletes, we wanted them to have a vision of what's ahead of them."

For the second straight season, UCF opens its season away from home. The Knights take on FIU in Miami on Friday. Tip is set for 5 p.m. at FIU Arena.
UCF and FIU face off for the seventh straight season. Each team holds three wins in the last six meetings, while the Panthers hold a 29-10 edge in the overall series.
The Knights, who begin the first season under Coach Abe, return their starting five from a year ago, including American Athletic Conference Preseason Second Team selection Zykira Lewis.
Lewis, who became the 21st 1,000-point scorer in UCF history last season, begins her senior campaign on Friday. Senior Joslyn Massey is joined by junior Aliyah Gregory and sophomores Ashley Polacek and Nyala Shuler to bring back an experienced core for the Knights. Orlando native Korneila Wright and Christian Hithe highlight UCF's talented newcomers.
Following the trip to Miami, UCF returns for its home opener against South Alabama at CFE Arena on Nov. 13.
