Game Notes
ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com)—The UCF volleyball team takes on Houston in American Athletic Conference action on Friday at 2 p.m. in Tampa. Due to Hurricane Matthew the match has been moved to USF's campus and will take place in The Corral.
"The first thing that stands out when I look at Houston is that they are getting the same amount of kills as their opponents," said head coach Todd Dagenais. "This match will come down to errors. They are doing a good job of making sure their opponents aren't getting a lot of kills. We have to make sure that we keep our offense at a high level and try to keep the errors down."
The Knights went 1-1 in conference play last week, defeating ECU before falling to preseason league favorite Cincinnati. Senior Jalé Hervey recorded 34 kills (4.25 kills per set), while redshirt junior Kia Bright tallied 31 kills, and hit at a .326 clip against the Bearcats. Freshman Jeanne Westney recorded nine total blocks (averaging 1.12 blocks per set).
