Fall Finale

Wilmington, N.C. (UCFKnights.com) - The No. 17 Knights wrapped up the fall portion of its 2016-17 campaign taking ninth at the Landfall Tradition Sunday.

"We faced some really strong competition in every event this fall," head coach Emily Marron said. "I thought we performed very well and the team gained some valuable experience that we will take into the spring season. We have a committed group who will work hard over the break and return ready for the championship portion of our year."

For the third-straight event, senior leader Ashley Holder notched the best individual total for the Black and Gold. Holder carded a final round 73 (+1), good enough to finish in a tie for 13th, marking her third top 20 finish of the year.

Freshman Maria Balcazar shot the teams best final round, turning in an even-par 72. She finished tied 27th while senior Ayaka Nakayama came in 37th among individuals after a final round 74 (+2).

Senior Johanna Larsson notched a final round score of 81 (+9) to finish 66th overall while junior Kaeli Jones tied for 76th after shooting 78 (+6) on day three.

UCF will return to competitive play at the Florida Challenge January 30, 2017.
