Orlando, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The UCF Knights (3-3, 1-1 AAC) will face the northernmost team in the American Athletic Conference this weekend when they travel to Hartford, Conn. to face the UConn Huskies (3-4, 1-3 AAC). Kickoff for the contest is set for Noon and below are some key facts and statistics related to Saturday's matchup.

Matchup Facts:

  • This will be the fourth meeting all-time between the Knights and Huskies. UConn leads the series 2-1.
  • In the Knights' first-ever meeting with UConn, UCF rolled to a 62-17 win during its Fiesta Bowl Championship season.
  • This is only the second time the Knights will play on Rentschler Field. Last trip, UCF fell 37-29 and went down as the Knights' only loss during their first two seasons in the American Athletic Conference. 

Key Offensive and Defensive Statistics:

  • The Knights rushing attack will test the Huskies defense. UCF enters the contest averaging 207.7 rushing yards per game, while UConn has allowed just 129.9 rushing yards per game this season.
  • Head coach Scott Frost has named true freshman quarterback McKenzie Milton the starter for the rest of the season. Last week against Temple, he ran for a 63-yard touchdown run, which was the second longest run by a quarterback in school history. Daunte Culpepper holds the record with a 75-yard run in 1997.
  • Redshirt junior linebacker Shaquem Griffin continues to find success after being converted from safety. He currently ranked ninth in the nation in sacks (6) and 22nd in the nation in tackles for loss (8).
  • Shaquem's twin brother and senior cornerback Shaquill Griffin enters Saturday with nine passes defended on the season, which ranks him second in the AAC and 13th in the NCAA.
