ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) – The 2016-17 women's basketball broadcast schedule was released by the American Athletic Conference on Tuesday afternoon, and the Knights will be featured nine times on digital or television platforms.

UCF will suit up for a pair of road contests that will be featured on the ESPN family of networks. When the Knights travel to Houston on Jan. 11, ESPN3 will provide coverage. ESPN3 will also cover the lone meeting of the War on I4 against USF on Feb. 14.

The Knights open conference action with a Jan. 1 matchup against three-time defending national champion UConn, which will be available on SNY and ESPN3.

Six contests, including a pair of home games, will be aired by the American Digital Network. UCF will host Cincinnati (Jan. 24) and East Carolina (Feb. 18) on the network, while the Knights' road matchups at ECU (Jan. 18), SMU (Feb. 4), Tulsa (Feb. 11) and Tulane (Feb. 22) will also be available on the ADN. All of those games will be available for free on all mobile, tablet and desktop devices as well as on the conference's official Roku app.

All home games not on these platforms will be available on UCFKnights.tv.

UCF opens the first season under head coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson on Nov. 11 at FIU before returning for the home opener against South Alabama at CFE Arena on Nov. 13.

Seniors Zykira Lewis and Joslyn Massey highlight an experienced group of returners for the Black and Gold. The Knights bring back starters in all five positions, including junior Aliyah Gregory and sophomores Ashley Polacek and Nyala Shuler. UCF added three talented newcomers, including Orlando native Korneila Wright.
