ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF head coach Stephanie Nickitas announced on Tuesday that junior Elizabeth Bagerbaseh and freshman Siri Victorsson have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Knights.

Claudia May, who signed her NLI in November, Bagerbaseh and Victorsson are set to begin their UCF careers in August.

"I couldn't be more excited about this year's recruiting class," said head coach Stephanie Nickitas. "Andrew [Veeder] has done a great job identifying three high-level tennis players and quality individuals that will help take this program to the next level. Each player brings her own unique qualities and attributes that will add even more depth to our team. I'm really looking forward to seeing this team come together next season."

Bagerbaseh is currently the No. 9 singles player in the NJCAA and plays for Tyler Junior College. The 2015 All-American was recently named the NJCAA National Player of the Week on April 24. She has also competed for the Ghana National Team.

May, a Lockleys, South Australia, native, has served as the captain of the Seaside Tennis Club state team the past two seasons and has a No. 107 ranking in Australia.

Victorsson has competed with Team Stockholm and the Swedish National Team during her career. The Stockholm, Sweden, native has two sisters Alexandra (San Diego) and Hanna (UMBC) that have played college tennis.

The Knights posted a 12-7 overall mark during the campaign and earned a No. 4 seed at The American Championship, the highest for the program since 2005.

  • 2015 ITA NFCAA All-American after finishing in the Top 10 in the final rankings
  • Currently ranked No. 9 overall in the latest ITA NJCAA National Singles Rankings
  • Sits at No. 14 nationally with partner Elena Tendero in the ITA NJCAA National Doubles Rankings
  • As of April 21, Tyler was ranked No. 2 overall in the ITA NJCAA National Team Rankings and finished the regular season 14-6.
  • The Apaches went 13-7 during the 2015 campaign and finished runner-up at the NJCAA Women's Division I Tournament.
  • Named the NJCAA National Player of the Week on April 22, 2016 after posting a 3-0 singles and 3-0 doubles mark at No. 2
  • Trained with coach Dermot Sweeney at the ITF Center
  • Competed with the Ghana National Team and ITF team

  • Ranked as high as No. 1377 by the WTA, posting a 3-8 singles and 8-0 doubles career records
  • Earned a No. 107 national ranking in Australia in 2014
  • Advanced to the semifinals in doubles play at the 2015 Gallipoli Youth Cup in Melbourne, Australia
  • Finished as a national finalist in doubles during 16U season

Claudia is a strong student and well-rounded on and off the court. She is a super-hard worker and her work ethic will fit right into the culture of our team. She has a solid all-court game with her strengths coming with volleying and playing doubles. She is going to make an impact right away as a freshman.

  • Two-time finalist at the Kolle Anka Cup / SEB Next Generation in the Bastad
  • Three-time Chess Club Champion and finished eighth at the Swedish Nationals

  • Born on Sept. 2, 1997 in Stockholm, Sweden
  • Daughter of Victor Rivero and Nayzdes Afonso
  • Sisters: Alexandra and Hanna
  • Father was on the Swedish National Handball Team
  • Both sisters -- Alexandra (San Diego) and Hanna (UMBC) -- played college tennis
  • Intends to major in Psychology

"I saw Siri play in December of 2014 and was just blown away by her level at that time. After seeing her compete, I knew that she was the type of player that we were looking for. Siri hits a big ball from the ground and isn't afraid to move forward, a product of playing on fast indoor courts in Sweden. We believe that Siri will be an immediate impact in both singles and doubles starting her freshman year."
