ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - UCF Volleyball head coach Todd Dagenais has announced the dates for the 2016 Central Florida volleyball camps and registration is now open.

The All Skills camp will be held July 8-11 and is open to all ages. The camp focuses on improving the six basic skills needed to play successful volleyball. Skills will be taught in both individual and team settings.

The Elite Camp is a one-of-a-kind camp for athletes in grades 9-12 that will be held July 13-16. It is designed to expose campers to the daily training systems used in an NCAA Division I and National Team programs. This camp is geared toward high level players who have the dream and potential to play college volleyball, as campers will experience four days of intense, skill-specific training.

A one-day positional camp will be held July 12 and is open grades 5-12. The attacking clinic teaches campers every facet of attacking, from transitioning off the net to a powerful approach and a multi-directional arm swing. The libero clinic will place major emphasis on body posture, footwork, digging techniques, advanced floor skills, and ball handling techniques for serve receive and defense. The setter clinic features technique-packed training sessions with an emphasis on hand position, body posture, footwork patterns, release, location, and decision making.

Coach Dagenais has added a pair of Little Knights camps for kindergarten to fourth grade on July 11 and 16. An introductory to the fundamentals of volleyball, the camp offers a fun and safe environment for young athletes to learn the basics of an amazing sport from the UCF staff and student-athletes.

Two team camps will be held this year. The Road to State Team Camp runs from July 24-26, while the Development Team Camp will be held July 28-30.

Registration is now open for all of the camps. To register online or for more information, visit centralfloridavolleyballcamps.com or contact UCF director of operations Marc Neef at (417) 838-1251.
