The Knights played without leading scorer Zykira Lewis (swollen eye), and it seemed Akron stole the 3-point specialist's mojo from behind the arc. The Zips converted 13-of-33 from downtown, marking the most treys by a UCF opponent in two years.

Akron (3-4) pulled away in the first quarter on a 15-2 run but UCF (3-5) dug in to shrink the gap to 22-16 with under seven minutes to play before halftime. That's when the Zips got hot.

Akron closed out the second quarter on a 19-0 run fueled by five consecutive 3-pointers. By the break, the Zips enjoyed a 41-16 lead and had drained nine 3-pointers --- two more treys than UCF had allowed an opponent to score in an entire game this year.

UCF got a big effort from post players Makenzi Reasor (16 points, 11 rebounds) and Joslyn Massey (14 points, 10 rebounds), who each ended up with a double-double. Akron's Megan Barilla led her team with a triple-double (10 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists).

Double Decker
? Makenzi Reasor put up career highs with her first career double-double, matching her previous best in points (16) and setting a new mark in rebounds with her first double-digit rebounding performance.
? Reasor became the fourth different Knight this year to post a double-double.
? Joslyn Massey tied her career high in points with 14, 10 of which she scored in the third quarter.
? Massey posted the second double-double of her career.

Up Next
