The Knights (3-4) outscored their longtime foe in the fourth quarter and put themselves into position to mount a rally after freshman Kayla Thigpen drained a 3-pointer to creep within 69-61 with 2:46 to play.

Forced to foul to stop the clock, UCF put Stetson (4-3) on the free throw line, where the Hatters made the most of their opportunity. They didn't miss on any of their eight-consecutive attempts, enabling them to keep their lead safely out of reach.

Junior Zykira Lewis dropped 22 points thanks to a 5-of-10 performance from behind the arc for her second 20-point game of the season.

Freshman Ashley Polacek dished an impressive 10 assists, tying a pair of East Carolina Pirates for the single-best performance by a American Athletic Conference player this season.

Junior Joslyn Massey added 12 points while sophomore Fifi Ndour posted the Knights' third double-double of the year.
