ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFKnights.com) - The UCF women's basketball team had trouble handling No. 2 UConn's pressure from early on in Wednesday night's 100-45 loss at CFE Arena.
The Knights fell behind 10-2 in the opening minutes and couldn't find a way to finish on their opportunities at the rim, shooting a season-low 22.5 percent (16-71) for the night.
Sophomore Zykira Lewis paced three Knights in double figures with 15 points. She was joined by freshmen Aliyah Gregory, 11, and Fifi Ndour, 10.
UConn, the defending national champion, padded its stats with 62 points in the paint as five Huskies scored in double digits with Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis leading the way (23).
The Knights return to the road on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET in Dallas to meet SMU, who has yet to win a game in conference play.
Fans can get in on the action all year with the "Season Ticket Card," starting at $15. Tickets are available today by calling (407) UCF-1000 or buying online by clicking here.
