ATHENS, Ga. (UCFKnights.com) - Senior Francesc Aulina will represent the UCF men's tennis team in the round of 32 on Saturday after winning his opening round at the USTA/ITA Southeast Regional Championships at Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday.

Aulina defeated Georgia State's Felipe Jaworski, 6-4, 7-5, on the University of Georgia campus to advance to the next round of the main draw. He will face Florida State's Gonzalez Mendez on Saturday.

Sophomores Reece Acree, Inaki Espindola and Chris Barrus dropped their opening matches in the round of 64. Acree fell to Georgia Southern's Ristomatti Lanne, 6-2, 6-4 in the first round, while Espindola came up short against Miami's Piotr Lomacki (4-6, 6-3, 6-4). Barrus dropped a 6-1, 7-5 decision to Georgia's Wayne Montgomery. All three move to the consolation bracket for Saturday's action.

Aulina paired with Acree in doubles action, falling to Kennesaw State's Simon Pritchard and Jorge Wilton in the opening round. After an opening round bye, Barrus and Espindola fell in the round of 32 to Georgia Tech's Christopher Eubanks and Nathan Rakitt.

UCF continues ITA Regional action tomorrow, with the first match getting underway at 12 p.m. in Athens, Ga.
