TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 13 UCF track and field team capped off its regular season at the Seminole Twilight in Tallahassee on Friday. Precious Ogunleye guided the Knights with two top-five finishes in the throws events throughout the day.
On her last attempt in the hammer throw, Ogunleye topped her personal record by roughly six feet thanks to a second-place showing of 56.13m/184-2. With the performance, the sophomore jumped into the top 35 among the NCAA East standings.
As the Knights' only competitor in the discus, Ogunleye registered her second-best throw of the outdoor season (45.86m/150-5) for fifth place.
Kalen Hambrick also finished among the top five in the hammer with a toss of 49.64m/162-10.
