ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Fresh off a midweek sweep, the UCF softball team looks to extend its winning streak as it welcomes Marshall to the UCF Softball Complex for the final time in Conference USA. UCF is looking to get back on track in league play as it currently sits in seventh place in the standings.

The Knights (18-14, 1-5 C-USA) will play the Thundering Herd (15-12, 3-3 C-USA) in a uniquely scheduled three-game series beginning with a single contest on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The series concludes on Saturday with a doubleheader at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. ET. UCF holds an all-time record of 16-10 against Marshall, but dropped all three matchups last season in Huntington.

UCF fans can follow all of the weekend's action on UCF All-Access with live audio and the voice of UCF softball, Eric Lopez. Fans can also follow all three contests on UCFAthletics.com Gametracker as well as in-game updates on our official Twitter account www.twitter.com/UCF_Softball.

Marshall's attack begins with star pitcher, Andi Williamson. The senior from Harts, W.Va. leads C-USA in wins (15), strikeouts (197) and innings pitched (151.1) while ranking in the top 10 in both ERA and opponents' batting average. Williamson has started 22 of The Herd's 27 games and has pitched in every contest this season.

The Knights will look to counter Williamson with a double dose of freshman Shelby Turnier and sophomore Mackenzie Audas. Turnier earned her 10th victory of the year and holds the sixth-best ERA in the league at 1.94. Audas has struggled at times with command, but still has shown flashes of dominance as she ranks third in the conference in strikeouts (110) and ninth in opponents' batting average (.221)

The Black and Gold play three of its 10 remaining home games remaining at the UCF Softball Complex this weekend, with season tickets for the remainder of the 2013 season costing only $30. Single game and season tickets are available for purchase online at UCFAthletics.com and Ticketmaster.com, or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) UCF-1000.
