LAS VEGAS (UCFAthletics.com) -- The UCF women's golf team is in a tie for seventh place after the first round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Knights carded a first-round score of 303 (+15).

UCF was led by Carolin Pinegger, who is tied for third after shooting even par for the first round. Her score of 72 was bested by only two other players.

Kaitlyn Price and Jessica Schall, both carded a +4 76 and are tied for 29th after the first round. Monifa Sealy is +7 and tied for 56th. Also taking part for UCF was Robyn Doig, who was +10 after the first round of action.

Wisconsin and Indiana were +4 for the first round to tie for the first-round lead.

Round two is slated for Monday morning at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.
