ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The fall portion of the schedule wraps up for the UCF women's golf team Sunday-Tuesday, as the Knights will be competing at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown.
For UCF, the final fall event will be an opportunity to finish strong and springboard into the spring season.
"The fall season goes by quickly and is half as long as the spring season," head coach Emily Marron said. "We've been very close to breaking through as a team and Las Vegas will be a great opportunity for us to close out the fall season on a high note."
Robyn Doig, Monifa Sealy, Jessica Schall, Kaitlyn Price and Carolin Pinegger will be teeing it up for the Knights in Las Vegas.
"We have changed up the lineup a few times this fall and will look for more consistency in the spring season," Marron said.
According to Marron, there is an opportunity for good scores and success at this tournament.
"Desert golf usually yields low scores so we are heading in with a more aggressive mind set this week, and will focus on beating the golf course not necessarily the field," Marron said. "If we can do that, we will be successful."
