ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For the second-consecutive week, UCF senior Brad Schneider has been selected as the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. Schneider led the Knights to the team title at the USF Invitational earlier in the week, finishing third overall at the event.
He concluded the USF Invitational just one stroke behind the co-medalists, and ahead of six ranked golfers, including a pair ranked among the top 20.
The senior completed play at 4-under 212. He began the three-day tournament with a 5-under 67 in the opening round. Schneider followed that performance with a 72 and 73 to close the event.
The tournament in Dade City, Fla., included four of the top-40 ranked teams in the country. The top-10 finish was the fourth of the season and second in a row for Schneider. Last week, he tied for eighth at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational.
The C-USA Golfer of the Week award is the third of the season for Schneider, and fourth honor of his career.
