ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer team rolled to its fourth shutout of the spring season with a 4-0 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday. Tishia Jewell racked up two goals and an assist to help lead the Knights to their fourth win of the season.

"This was another professional effort by the entire group," assistant coach Joshua S. Walters, Sr. said. "From the moment warmups started until the last whistle, every player was plugged in and applying the information the staff had given them. Everyone should gain confidence with this performance."

Jewell netted UCF's game-winner thanks to a nice pass sequence with Nicolette Radovcic to put the Knights up 1-0.

Later, Bianca Joswiak penetrated the left side of the box and drew a penalty kick for the Knights when an FGCU defender slid late and fouled Joswiak about 10 yards out. Ashley Nicol converted the penalty kick that increased the lead to 2-0.

Jewell struck again with UCF's third goal from about 25 yards out. The ball came in on an early serve from Zoe Hayes where Katy Ling knocked the ball back to Jewell, who finished off the play.

Jewell and Ling connected again on UCF's final goal when Jewell sent the ball to Ling at the top of the box, and Ling found the back of the net. Goalkeepers Lianne Maldonado and Connie Organ shared the shutout.

"In the spring it's about individual growth and we were able to give every healthy field player on the roster a run in the match," Walters said. "We will continue to evaluate and ask more of the team throughout the spring as we move towards our goals next fall. I know we all want more."
