TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Wrapping up a weekend in Tallahassee, the UCF women's tennis team picked up a 6-0 win at Florida A&M Sunday. It was the Knights' first victory of the dual-match campaign as they improved to 1-1 on the season, while the Rattles dropped to 0-1 in 2012.

Rain forced the two schools to skip doubles play and go straight into singles action. Only losing one game in her match at No. 4, Taylor Dubins earned a 6-1, 6-0 win against Bethany Holt, and Jenna Doerfler almost duplicated that feat in a 6-2, 6-0 decision vs. Britney Dean at the No. 3 position. Over at No. 5, Allison Hodges surrendered just three games for a 6-1, 6-2 win over Elysia Ortiz.

Solidifying the shutout for the Knights, Genevieve Lorbergs held down the No. 1 spot thanks to a 6-4, 6-0 win vs. Kathline Durden, and Josephine Haraldson also gave up four games in her 6-1, 6-3 triumph against Shani Williams in the No. 6 position. Alexis Rodriguez helped complete the sweep by way of a 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 2 vs. Alexis Brown

UCF will stay on the road next weekend when it travels to Waco, Texas, for the ITA Kickoff Weekend hosted by Baylor Jan. 28-29.
