ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - UCF junior Tishia Jewell (Satellite Beach, Fla.) was recognized for her work in the classroom Thursday when she was selected to the Conference USA Women's Soccer All-Academic First Team. Earlier in the week, Jewell was honored for her play on the field with a spot on the All-C-USA First Team.
Jewell is currently pursuing her master's degree in non-profit management. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology in two years and boasted a 3.72 cumulative grade-point-average.
Jewell was one of 13 conference players named to the all-academic first team.
She has appeared in all 20 games for the Knights this season and leads C-USA with eight assists. The forward also has six goals on the year for 20 points.
The C-USA All-Academic Team honor is the first for Jewell. She has been named to the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll each year during her time as a Knight.
