ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFathletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer team's unbeaten streak ended at eight on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to No. 5 Memphis at the UCF Soccer Complex. The Tigers (17-0-1, 9-0-1 C-USA) scored all three goals in the second half to remain undefeated on the season.

"The first half we came out great. The first 20-30 minutes we were really the dominate team," UCF Head Coach Amanda Cromwellsaid. "The second half we just didn't show up. Memphis showed why they were undefeated. They scored some great goals. If we played like we did in the first 20 minutes throughout the entire game, it might be a different result."

UCF (10-3-5, 5-2-3 C-USA) nearly capitalized in the first two minutes when it drew a corner kick and Bianca Joswiakput one past Memphis goalkeeper Elise Kuhar-Pitters, but the Knights were cited for off-sides and the shot was negated.

Shortly after halftime, Memphis scored its first goal when the UCF defensive line came up with a deflection off Kylie Davis' shot, setting up a rebounding opportunity for Christabel Oduro.

The Tigers added an insurance goal at 71:43 in the game when Natalia Gomez-Junco drew out goalkeeper Aline Reis for an open look at the net. Oduro sealed the game with her second score of the day off an assist from Melissa Smith with 4:30 remaining on the clock.

Sunday's game marked the senior class' final home game of their careers. The Knights head to Southern Miss on Oct. 28 at 5 p.m. for their final game before the Conference USA Tournament starts on Nov 2.
