ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following the Knights' thrilling victory over a ranked Kentucky squad earlier in the week, the No. 10 UCF men's soccer team will face another tough Conference USA test Saturday when it meets No. 21 SMU in Dallas. The contest at Westcott Field will begin at 8 p.m. EDT.

The Knights (7-1-1, 1-0 C-USA) rallied for a 2-1 overtime win over Kentucky in Orlando Wednesday. The Wildcats are ranked 21st in the NSCAA poll. The contest, which featured a 70-minute delay due to lightning, ended with less than two minutes left in overtime when senior Warren Creavalle (Acworth, Ga.) scored off a corner kick from junior Nik Robson (Auckland, New Zealand).

Kentucky grabbed a 1-0 edge early in the match, but the Knights rallied to take the win. The victory for the Knights was the first for UCF over the Wildcats since 2005.

The Knights have already posted the best start to a season since UCF moved to the Division I level in 1984.

UCF has totaled 21 goals in nine matches this season and leads C-USA in goals per game (2.33). On the defensive end, the Knights boast a 0.86 goals against average, and have recorded three shutouts.

UCF sophomore McKauly Tulloch (Kingston, Jamaica) scored against Kentucky and leads the country in points per game (3.14). He has 10 goals in seven matches in 2011. Senior Kevan George (Roxborough, Trinidad) is among the national leaders in assists with six on the year. In the net, junior Shawn Doyle (Fort Myers, Fla.) has been solid for the Knights. He is fourth in C-USA with 3.22 saves per game.

SMU is ranked 21st in the country in the Soccer America poll. The Mustangs are 5-3 on the campaign and will be making their conference debut. Last week, SMU picked up an impressive 2-1 win at No. 18 UCLA.

A year ago, UCF upset the then fifth-ranked Mustangs, 2-1, in Orlando. The loss was the only defeat for the Mustangs during the regular season in 2010.
