ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes from the UCF football team for Saturday, Sept. 3. Since Dec. 31, 2010, fans have been anxiously waiting for this day to appear on their calendars. Well it's finally here, so go forth and soak it all in.

News
-The first thing you should check out before you head to campus is UCF Gameday Central.
-Also hit up UCFGameday.com.
-Bright House Networks Stadium was pretty busy Friday. Along with the lines and endzones being painted, a huge student crowd gathered in the late afternoon for an SGA preseason pep rally. Check out this Photo Gallery of the event.
-After Thursday's practice, head coach George O'Leary announced that UCF's captains for today will be seniors Darius Nall and Adam Nissley.
-O'Leary also recognized Andrew Schultz (offense), Joey Grant (defense) and Kevin Miller (special teams) as the top players on the show teams.

Stat of the Day
-The last time UCF took the field, there was 2:20 on the clock in the fourth quarter and Georgia needed to go 80 yards to topple the Knights in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. Twelve plays and only 42 yards later, the UCF defense ultimately prevailed in a 10-6 victory.

What to Look For
-If you don't have tickets for next Saturday's game vs. Boston College, or for the rest of the season, visit UCF Tickets.
-Inside UCF Football will air on Bright House Sports Network Sunday at noon, followed by UCF Sports Today with George O'Leary at 12:30 p.m.
-No. 16 UCF men's soccer vs. Belmont Sunday at 7 p.m.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000. Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
