Sept. 27: This weekend the Knights took on two conference games with highly competitive teams. All week we prepared for SMU and Tulsa to ensure we could deliver our best games. The battle against SMU really showed how our attention to the small details has paid off. The Knights did a great job in rallying together to take the lead in the second game and with everyone doing their individual jobs pushed through to sweep the Mustangs.
Although we suffered a loss on Sunday against Tulsa, the strides made throughout the game showed how close UCF is to becoming a top contender in C-USA. As a team, I was extremely proud of the way we continued to fight back despite the odds against us. We also experienced some new lineups, which further proved our depth as a team and willingness as players to step up.
This week we head to ECU and Marshall for our first away conference games. The team is in great anticipation as we hope to improve through the ranks. Tradition starts now.
