ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - For the first time in program history, the UCF volleyball team will host a pair of Black and Gold Scrimmages at The Venue at UCF as the finale to its 2011 preseason training camp. The squad will face one another for the first time Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m., before concluding its preseason Saturday with a 3 p.m. intra-squad event.

There is no charge to attend either event and free parking is available in parking garage F, located behind The Venue at UCF.

UCF's pair of scrimmages will offer fans a first-look at the 2011 Knights. This year's roster will feature nine returning letterwinners, including senior setter Rachel Vukson (Oakville, Ont.) and juniors Tory McCutcheon (Milton, Ont.), Meredith Murphy (Austin, Texas), Evija Vilde (Riga, Latvia) and Dani Harrison (Tallahassee, Fla.).

Fans will also catch a glimpse at the Black and Gold's four newcomers, outside hitter Kayla Keller (San Antonio, Texas) and middle blockers Kaye-Alese Green (Jacksonville, Fla.), Ashley Gialenios (Johns Creek, Ga.) and Delaina Sarden (Lawrenceville, Ga.), who all look to make immediate contributions on the floor this season.

The Knights open the 2011 season Aug. 26-27 when they host the Courtyard by Marriott/UCF Classic at The Venue at UCF. During the event, UCF will take on South Alabama, Michigan State and North Florida.

Season tickets are available now for only $30, which includes 18 regular-season matches at The Venue at UCF and admission to three home tournaments. Also available for purchase this season is the UCF Gold Pass. For $75, the Gold Pass grants the avid Knights fan admission to all home volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball and track & field events.
