ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes from the UCF football team for Thursday, Aug. 11. The Knights completed their first week of preseason camp Wednesday, and will return to the practice fields today at 3:20 p.m.

-UCF Athletics has announced several important dates and upcoming events this week:

-During Wednesday's practice, quarterback Jeff Godfrey connected with freshman tight end Justin Tukes over the middle three times.
-Freshmen linebackers Leilon Willingham and Terrance Plummer continue to see plenty of time with the first team defense, and senior running back Ronnie Weaver was busy yet again perfectly picking up blocks at the line of scrimmage.

Wide Receiver/Quarterback - 6-2/213 - Senior

-Serving as UCF's No. 3 quarterback during the preseason, he also has transitioned to wide receiver for his senior year and will see plenty of time running routes for starting QB Jeff Godfrey.
-At 6-foot-2, serves as one of UCF's tallest receivers.
-Made eight starts under center as a true freshman, and for his career, has thrown for 1,240 yards and 12 touchdowns.
-Last season, he had a 64.1 completion percentage in two starts and five games overall.
-Rushed for a touchdown at Marshall but injured his left knee, forcing him to sit out the remainder of the season.

Stat of the Day
-The Black and Gold's defense recorded at least one interception in 11 of 14 games last year.

What to Look For
-Practice Friday is slated for 3:20-5:30 p.m. while there is a scrimmage scheduled for Saturday with practice running from 3:20-5:30 p.m. as well. However check back to UCFAthletics.com often, or follow @UCF_FootballSID on Twitter, because practice times may change.
-Members of UCF Athletics will be on hand at tonight's PATCH Party at the Huey Magoo's in Winter Springs at 6 p.m., as well as at Melbourne's Friday Family Fest at 6 p.m.

UCF football season ticket packages can be purchased online at UCFAthletics.com or by calling the UCF Athletics Ticket Office at (407) 823-1000. Should UCF host the C-USA Championship Game for the fourth time in seven years, it would be played on Saturday, Dec. 3, and season ticket holders will receive the first shot at the best seats.
