ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The success of the UCF men's soccer team in 2010 was truly a team effort. However, each individual played a key role in the greater success of the team. Throughout the summer, UCFathletics.com will spotlight members of the Knights and what they are doing to prepare for the 2011 season.
Today's spotlight is on Cameron Cooksey and his upcoming senior season. As a junior in 2010, Cooksey came on to help UCF reach new heights. In early September, Cooksey was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week after scoring two goals and adding an assist for five points in the season-opening win against Jacksonville.
In the Conference USA opener against Marshall, Cooksey scored the overtime winner to propel his team to its fifth win of the season. Cooksey finished the season second on the team in scoring with 15 points as he scored 6 goals and recorded 3 assists.
Now, Cooksey will turn his attention to the offseason workouts and preparations for the fall as the Knights' spring season is over.
