TEXARKANA, Ark. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's golf team recorded an impressive second round Monday at the Conference USA Championship, helping the Knights move to third with 18 holes to play at the Texarkana Country Club. The three-day, three-round tournament will conclude Tuesday.

On Monday, the Knights posted a 1-over 289. UCF entered the second round tied for eighth after posting a 5-over 293 Sunday. The Knights enter the third round with a two-round total of 582 (+6).

Tulsa leads the field at 577 (+1), followed by Memphis (580, +4). East Carolina is in fourth, two shots behind UCF at 8-over 584.

Three Knights shot even par Monday - freshman Greg Eason (Leicester City, England), junior Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) and freshman Kyle Wilshire (Georgetown, Ky.). Eason enters Tuesday tied for third at 3-under 141. Schneider (145, +1) began the day tied for 23rd, and moved to a tie for 13th. Wilshire (154, +10) is now tied for 43rd.
