DADE CITY, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Play concluded Sunday at the USF Invitational at the Lake Jovita Country Club, and the UCF men's golf team finished sixth at the 21-team event. The Knights were led by freshman Greg Eason (Leicester City, England), who finished second individually.

Eason carded a 3-under 68 during Sunday's final round to conclude the three-day, three-round tournament at 9-under 207. He began the final round tied for fifth.

The Knights ended play at 5-over 869. UCF posted a 2-over 290 on the final 18. Middle Tennessee State took the team title at 838 (-26), followed by Florida State (857, -7).

The event served as the Knights' third tournament of the spring.

Eason was one of two Knights to post top-15 finishes as junior Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) tied for 13th. He concluded the event at 214 (-2).

Sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) tied for 54th (224, +8). Senior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) was one shot behind, tying for 57th at 225 (+9). For the second-straight day, junior Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.) was unable to play due to illness. Hunter Green of Middle Tennessee State took medalist honors at 205 (-11).

UCF will now have a short break before hosting its own tournament, the Rio Pinar Invitational. Play at the two-day event in Orlando will open on Monday, March 14. Twenty-one teams will compete at the Rio Pinar Country Club.
