PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Thanks to a pair of top-10 individual performances, the UCF men's golf team finished fourth Tuesday at one of the nation's premier events - the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at the Sawgrass Country Club. No. 29 UCF finished ahead of four top-50 ranked squads, including 2nd-ranked Florida.

The Knights concluded the three-round, three-day event at 879 (+15). No. 20 Arkansas claimed the team title at 867 (+3), followed by No. 13 Auburn (869, +5) and No. 7 LSU (871, +7). UCF finished ahead of No. 46 Tennessee (882, +18) and Florida (885, +21). The Volunteers placed fifth, while Florida tied for sixth with Ole Miss.

Nine of the 15 squads that participated in the tournament are ranked in the top-50 nationally.

UCF freshman Greg Eason (Leicester City, England) tied for sixth individually at 215 (-1). He posted a 2-under 70 Tuesday. He was joined in the top 10 by junior Connor Arendell (Cape Coral, Fla.). Arendell tied for eighth at 216 (E).

UCF entered the final round tied for fifth with No. 38 TCU, and carded a 5-over 293 on the final 18.

Junior Nuno Henriques (Funchal, Portugal) tied for 21st at 222 (+6). Fellow junior Brad Schneider (Valrico, Fla.) tied for 46th at 11-over 227, and sophomore Reid Martin (Mukilteo, Wash.) tied for 52nd at 229 (+13).

The tournament served as UCF's second event of the spring.

The Knights will return to action Friday when play begins at the USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla.
