ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF indoor track & field used the last week to rest and prepare for two separate meets this weekend. The throwers will be competing at the Dick Taylor Invitational at North Carolina on Saturday, while the rest of the Knights will run and jump at Arkansas' Tyson Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Destinee Romain and Satrina Oliveira will represent the Knights in Chapel Hill on Saturday. Oliveira will participate in both the weight throw and shot put, while Romain is scheduled to just compete in the shot put.

The majority of the Knights will be headed for Fayetteville, Ark., and the Tyson Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

On the first day of competition, UCF will compete in five events to start the weekend at the Randal Tyson Track Center.

The 60-meter dash will feature six Knights. Seniors Lynne Layne and Mica Wimberly will run alongside junior Sheila Paul and a trio of freshmen in the event. The three first-year Knights in the 60 meters are Tyler Smith, Dominique Booker and Aurieyall Scott.

Booker, who holds the school and freshman record in this event, was one-hundredth of a second off her record time of 7.26 two weeks ago at Penn State. She now owns three of the top four program times in the 60 meters in just three career meets.

Four members of the Knights will compete in the 60-meter hurdles on the first day as well. Seniors Wimberly and Karessa Farley and juniors Jackie Coward and Ashley Bolling will all run Friday afternoon. Coward is the school record holder in this event, posting an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 8.16 on Jan. 21 at Virginia Tech. She also won both heats she ran in last week at Penn State.

Friday will also feature the 800 and 400 meter races. In the 800, senior Carley Dart will run with freshmen Erica Winston and Ne'Ausha Logan. Senior Champelle Brown and freshman Afia Charles will make up the Knights' contingent in the 400 meters.

The long jump rounds out the first day with Layne, juniors Jacquelyn Gilchrist and Tomika Story and sophomore Sonnisha Williams competing for UCF.

Saturday's events get underway with the 200 meters. Seven UCF entrants are scheduled to compete in the event, including Aurieyall Scott. Scott broke her own school and freshman record two weeks ago in her last race in this event at the Penn State National Invitational. Her record time of 23.17 was also a new personal best while also automatically qualifying her for the NCAA Championships in March.

UCF will run in both the Distance Medley Relay as well as the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday afternoon. Story will represent the Knights in the triple jump and Williams will be the lone Knight in the high jump.

The Knights will again have another two-week layoff before their next meet. Following this weekend in Arkansas and North Carolina, UCF will next compete at the 2011 Conference USA Indoor Championships hosted by Houston at the Yeoman Fieldhouse.
